Vacancy “Business/public administration Expert for the Ministry of Agriculture for the
implementation of the EU funded programmes”

International Management Group (IMG) is an intergovernmental organisation working for EU and AECID in the oPt with offices in Jerusalem, Ramallah and Gaza.
IMG is soliciting applications for two positions of local expert for the Ministry of Agriculture in Ramallah/West Bank and Gaza, and is looking for a dynamic, highly organised professional person with excellent interpersonal and communication skills for 2 months with possible extension.
Duty station for expert B is Gaza, IMG office and Ministry of Agriculture
Tasks:
TA to Ministry of Agriculture
-To assess the capacities in terms of required HR capabilities versus the job responsibilities described in the PA Administrative Framework documents
-To review the written MoA procedures and their adequacy to ensure smooth implementation of the program.
-To estimate running costs for the implementation of the program to be covered by the MoA
-To identify training needs to improve the capacity of MoA, in central and district offices in Gaza Strip for a smooth and appropriate implementation of the program.
-To prepare training curricula (including courses content) for the MoA staff in Gaza, and a cost estimate of all the identified training courses.
Required Qualifications:
-Master degree in business administration, public administration, finance, economics or relevant social sciences.
-Excellent English and Arabic (working languages) writing, speaking and reading skills
General Experience:
-Minimum 10 years experience in the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of economic development (including agriculture and rural development) projects in developing countries, including experience as team leader for such assignments, coupled with experience in conflict-affected and fragile situations.
Specific experience:
Performed training needs assessment and writing of curricula is a requirement. Sound knowledge of EC implementation rules as well as familiarity with the political and socio-economic context in Gaza is an asset.
Duration of assignment: 30 working days over 8 weeks from date of commencement.
