The Young Women’s Christian Association in Ramallah (YWCA) was established in 1985 to respond to the ever-
increasing needs of the Ramallah community for the quality services the YWCA has been offering for youth, women and children. The YWCA of Ramallah has been running a Vocational Training Center (VTC) since 2001; offering a ten-month Vocational Diploma in Office Management and two newly launched professional Diplomas in Events Management and Customer Relations Management.

The YWCA of Ramallah is currently seeking to recruit a qualified candidate in its Vocational Training
Centre for the position of:

Vocational Training Center Supervisor

This is a full time position; the incumbent reports to the YWCA of Ramallah Executive Director;
he/ she will be located at the YWCA of Ramallah office, and is expected to have the following

qualifications:
-Be a resident of Ramallah and possess an in-depth knowledge of the vocational sector in Palestine
-A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Educational Management; a Master’s degree is a plus
-At least two years of work experience in the field of vocational training , curricula development or educational management
-Proven skills and experience in program formulation, implementation and reporting
-Strong leadership and supervision skills, and willingness to work within and lead a team
-Proficiency in both Arabic and English (written and spoken) and experience with Microsoft Office applications
-Strong networking and communication skills and the ability to work under pressure

Duties and Responsibilities:
In accordance with the set policies and procedures, the incumbent is responsible for providing
supervision to the VTC department, including but not limited to the following:
-In line with the strategic plan, prepares and coordinates fully the VTC annual plan and budget
-Oversees the Vocational Training Centre implementation plan and budget and ensures full adherence
-Prepares and submits regularly all VTC reports for the Executive Director and/or other parties as required, outlining achievement of objectives, tasks completed, problems faced and
recommendations
-Coordinates, draws the agenda and calls for VTC staff meetings on a regular basis
-In coordination with the Executive Director, identify needs and potential for expansion of the vocational program
-Supervises daily attendance of trainers, and ensures that all are filling in and submitting monthly
time sheets
-Ensures that trainers have all the necessary resources to deliver quality education and training,
including equipment, teaching aids, space, physical set-up etc.
